Apparently, collectors of my art enjoy skies as much as I do, so I continue to delve into this limitless subject. It’s a new exploration with each new sky. I find endless fascination in the many different settings, lighting conditions, color combinations, moods… .
If any of these works (or the other pieces on my Available Paintings page) strike a chord with you, and you’d like to surround yourself with a peaceful trip to the lake or country by adding an original piece of art to your home, feel free to contact me through the Contact tab, or call me directly at 616-723-6600 with any questions.
I hope you enjoy the latest paintings to come off the “easel.” (Actually, I don’t use easels anymore; for any artists out there who paint on large canvases and want to contact me for more information about how I paint against the wall, I have a most wonderful set-up now for the past number of months, and it has greatly improved my productivity and organization.)
This painting is just off the easel. I will probably end up making some minor revisions, but thought I would post it in case someone wants to place an early claim on it. The photo above is a little too dark, but maybe more accurate with the colors than the lighter one below.
Because this painting came from my imagination, there was plenty of freedom for abstraction. I’m really enjoying painting snow, and all the colors that are present. It feels like I’m just getting started…
