Another dance in the Mission Peninsula orchards. The paint and canvas met each other with a raw energy which never waned throughout the whole painting. It doesn’t always happen that way, so it’s pretty cool when it does.
I hope you’re enjoying your spring. Wherever you are, and whatever is going on in your world, may peace and blessings be yours in abundance.
Because my paintings go out the door to galleries so quickly, I’m constantly having to paint something new for the empty spots on my walls, and especially above my mantel. This is a good problem, really, because it motivates me to paint!
We’ll see if this one ever gets to take its place in my home. If it sounds like that makes me sad, it doesn’t really. It’s a wonderful feeling to know that other people enjoy my work and want to have it in their homes.
I love the orchards and vineyards on this peninsula…one right after the other, not to mention the stunning view of the bay from both sides. This little house on a hill caught my attention coming, and going, and then circling around again to see it one more time!
