The “Water and Color” painting posted last week is already sold, but I feel a tug to continue painting this scene…in various palettes/moods/seasons. My goal is to explore an abstract quality with a light, almost-watercolor touch. Some of that “touch” is a result of new tools I began using last year. There’s nothing more exciting to me than finding innovative ways to make marks which are pleasing to the eye.
We need all the joy and peace we can get in these troubled times. Hopefully, the peace I find in my studio makes its way into the paintings posted here. My dear father-in-law recited Psalm 91 every day when he served in WWII, and it remains a favorite in our family: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Ps. 91:1.
For information about purchasing this or any other painting on my website, please see the Contact page; and take note of the FREE SHIPPING possibilities.
I hope you enjoy “Water and Color 2.”
Peace and love to you all,
