Stop and Drink It In

So many rural scenes still to paint from my recent photo expedition! And my husband is currently trying to nudge me out the door for another drive in the country! (It’s 59 degrees in January…in Michigan; how can we NOT be enticed?!) I really want to paint right now, but what might I miss if I don’t go with him? OK, country roads, here I come!

I am stopping to drink it in!!! I see the cloudy skies and know that you enjoy them. I see the ground work and it tells a message of its own with the road and of course the sign. Interesting you painted the back of the sign (no direction, no miles). This could be out in the middle of nowhere.

I see the freedom you have with your skills and the fun you must have had painting this picture.
    Thank you for this.
PS; take the ride when its offered by your husband. He is taking care of you and all of us are benefiting from the paintings.

    1. John, thank you; I really enjoyed your comments! And you are right: that scene is definitely in the middle of nowhere. In fact, I almost named the painting, “Middle of Nowhere.” I’m glad you are able to perceive the joy I find in painting these rural scenes, and the overcast or cloudy skies. Thanks again for stopping by and for taking the time to write.
