Concurrence of Circumstances

For a long time, the painting on this canvas was of a vase, titled “The Vessel” (see the small bottom photo). I never felt really great about “The Vessel,” so I finally got up the nerve to paint over it. As I love to do with paint-overs, I purposely let strategic areas of the original painting show through. The color palette underneath (which included warm aquas and greens) set the tone for this city scene.

Ironically, then, the old painting/canvas was really a “vessel” for the new painting.

  1. I’m so happy you helped me discover where your art work is in this rather complex syber world of ours. It’s been so nice to now have access.

    Thanks!! Love you, Mama
